Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

A rather personal poem

When I saw myself for the first time
in the bathroom mirror through my new
reading glasses (cute expensive frames,
bought in Germany), I thought

Oh my God! What happened
to my eyes? Where did those
wrinkles come from?
For years, I’d believed my fancy eye creams —
